Our goal is to promote the value of an active and healthy lifestyle through participation in physical activity.
Objectives
The Ian McCloy Island Swim is slated to celebrate its 26th anniversary this year. Swimmers will take over Lake Nepahwin on July 19th, 2009 and challenge themselves to either the 400m, 1.6km, or 3.2km course. Dairy Queen will again be hosting its Youth Challenge, a 100m course designed so that even Sudbury's youngest fitness buffs can participate.

The Sudbury Canoe Club will again play host to the Canoe Marathon leg of the Sudbury Fitness Challenge. With many categories and distances to choose from, the event can be anything from a grueling test of endurance to a fun sprint, fit for all ages and abilities. Organizers are promising 4km, 9km, and 18.5km courses for recreational canoes, racing canoes, and kayaks.
